Odisha sprinter Animesh Kujur produced a stellar victory in the men's 100m final at the Indian Athletics Final Series 2026, held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Thursday, September 10. The 23-year-old crossed the finish line in 10.21 seconds, outpacing national record holder Gurindervir Singh by 0.11s. Gurindervir, who registered a national record time of 10.09s at the Federation Cup 2026, took silver with 10.32s, while Rushiprasad Desai finished third in 10.33s to claim bronze. Demonstrating remarkable form ahead of the upcoming Asian Games, Kujur later completed a sprint double by taking the 200m title in 20.59 seconds.
