How a story is produced
Reporters and editors work from primary documents, official statements, on-the-record comments, and named news organisations. AI tools may be used to organise research or draft structure. No story is published until a human editor has checked the facts, the wording, and the sourcing.
Where we rely on another outlet’s reporting, we say so and link the source. Readers should be able to see where a fact came from.
Editorial independence
