The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a comprehensive chargesheet before a special court against 13 individuals—including three National Testing Agency subject experts, coaching centre personnel, middlemen, and beneficiary candidates—in connection with the NEET UG 2026 paper leak case.
Following a two-month probe involving raids across 92 locations in multiple states, the agency invoked charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating, criminal breach of trust, destruction of evidence, and offenses under the Prevention of Corruption Act and the Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
Supported by 360 witnesses, 422 documents, digital forensic reports, handwriting analyses, and expert opinions confirming the prior circulation of leaked questions, the CBI detailed the entire chain of conspiracy and financial transactions, leading to frozen bank accounts, lockers, and demat accounts for the accused who remain in judicial custody.
