DHL Express will increase its shipment charges in India by 8.9% from January 1, 2027, as part of its annual price adjustment. The company said this revision is necessary to manage rising operating costs caused by inflationary pressures, currency fluctuations, and industry-specific cost developments. Additionally, higher energy expenses, compliance requirements, and administrative costs related to changing customs, regulatory, and security measures in various countries are impacting its cost structure.
DHL Express highlighted that ongoing labour-market pressures in several countries are also raising operational expenses. As a globally integrated logistics firm operating in more than 220 countries and territories, DHL faces economic challenges not only in India but across global markets. The company noted that international trade continues to offer business opportunities amidst increasingly interconnected and complex supply chains.
