In a major enforcement operation executed between August 24 and 29, 2026, the Maharashtra Food and Drugs Administration (FDA)—working jointly with Thane and Navi Mumbai Police—dismantled a large-scale food packaging and relabeling racket operating across Navi Mumbai and Noida.
Inspecting units such as M/s Sadhana Enterprises in Turbhe's TTC Industrial Area, officials discovered that expired stock was being repackaged with erased manufacturing/expiry dates and false nutritional content stickers. The raid targeted stock linked to ten trading and export entities, including seven Mumbai-based firms (such as Novas Export, Joshi Brothers, and Beyond Export) and three Noida/Delhi-based entities (Bharat International, Anika Export, and Aarnika Export).
In total, authorities seized 4,942 cartons worth ₹75.21 lakh alongside expired inventory worth ₹30,600. Sadhana Enterprises' license was immediately suspended, and formal criminal proceedings were initiated under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and the BNS.
