Kerala Health Minister K. Muraleedharan stated that government hospitals across the state will not face medicine shortages as the government has implemented measures to ensure a continuous drug supply.
Pharmaceutical companies have been instructed to accelerate distribution to prevent delays in medicine delivery to hospitals. Additionally, hospital authorities have been provided with contingency plans to address any potential shortages. If a medicine shortage occurs, heads of government healthcare institutions have been directed to make local purchases through Karunya outlets.
This approach is designed to help hospitals meet immediate needs and maintain a steady supply of essential medicines. These measures aim to prevent disruptions in hospital services and ensure patients continue to receive necessary medicines and treatments without interruption.
