Indian para-shooters Mona Agarwal and two-time Paralympic champion Avani Lekhara delivered a landmark double podium finish for the nation on Wednesday, September 9, at the World Shooting Para Sport Championships in Changwon, South Korea. Competing in the Women's 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 final, Mona scored 250.0 to finish just 0.2 points behind Serbia's gold-medalist Kristina Trifunovic (250.2). Avani registered 229.4 to complete the top three. Beyond capturing maiden World Championship medals for both athletes, Mona's silver-medal finish secured an official LA 2028 Paralympic Games quota slot for India.
