Following a sit-in protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence and his subsequent temporary detention alongside Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi presented five key demands to the Centre over the NEET paper leak controversy:

1) The resignations of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Home Minister Amit Shah.

2) Police accountability and withdrawal of cases against student protesters.

3) A formal apology from the Prime Minister.

4) A full discussion on the issue in Parliament.

5) Urgent education and examination reforms.

In response, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and MoS PMO Jitendra Singh accused Gandhi of politicizing the issue, manufacturing confrontation, and backtracking on democratic parliamentary debates despite the government's willingness to discuss student concerns.
