Sanju Samson returns to India’s T20 squad for the upcoming three-match series against Afghanistan, with all matches set for New Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium on September 13, 15, and 17. Samson, a key performer in the T20 World Cup, returns after being rested for the Zimbabwe tour.

Meanwhile, star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is among five players named subject to final fitness clearance. Ruled out of his last ODI against England, Bumrah must clear mandatory tests before returning, as managing his fitness remains critical ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup.

Additionally, uncertainty remains over Hardik Pandya.
