The Telangana Food Safety Department has taken stringent action against two dairy units in Sangareddy district after inspections uncovered multiple violations of food safety and labelling regulations. The department suspended the food business licences of the units and seized approximately 3,800 kg of cream valued at around ₹9.22 lakh.
The inspections, conducted on July 7 and 8, revealed several instances of misbranding and misleading labelling of dairy products. Officials found Keston Curd and Divya Curds to be misbranded, while Keston Paneer was flagged for displaying misleading claims on its packaging. The enforcement action was part of the department's continued efforts to ensure compliance with food safety standards, prevent deceptive marketing practices, and protect consumer health.
