The CURE (Completion of Unfinished Residential Estates) project has completed approximately 21,000 unfinished 2BHK flats across 26 locations in Hyderabad’s Core Urban Region. This milestone paves the way for the allotment of these ready-to-occupy, affordable homes to eligible families, addressing housing shortages in the Hyderabad metropolitan area.
Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has instructed officials to expedite the beneficiary selection through a draw of lots, aiming to conclude the process by the end of September, although the project brief cites October 2026 as the deadline. Eligible beneficiaries residing within five to seven kilometres of each housing location will be considered. The selection process involves officials from Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Sangareddy, and Medchal districts, along with the Electricity, Water Works, and Housing departments.
These houses had remained incomplete due to financial and administrative challenges. The State government has now prioritized finishing the stalled projects and moving forward with allotment. The completion will make thousands of housing units available to eligible beneficiaries and marks a significant step in utilizing previously unfinished residential projects.
