Members of the Indian diaspora in China raised concerns over anti-India content circulating on social media platforms and difficulties related to visa issuance during the first outreach session held by the Indian embassy. Ambassador Vikram Doraiswami acknowledged these concerns and assured that measures are underway to address them.
The embassy also announced that visa protocols for Chinese citizens traveling to India would be simplified shortly to facilitate easier travel and strengthen bilateral ties. Additionally, there are plans to set up a legal assistance framework aimed at supporting Indian professionals residing in China.
Beyond administrative improvements, the embassy intends to expand cultural outreach programs to better showcase India's diversity and strengthen connections within the diaspora community. These efforts form part of ongoing initiatives to enhance diplomatic engagement and support for Indian nationals abroad.
