In the women's final, India built an early 22–16 half-time lead before holding off a second-half Iranian rally to win 37–34. Later in the day, the Indian men's team matched the feat in a physical contest against Iran, pulling away in the final minutes to secure a 40–34 victory.

The victories mark India's 12th and 13th overall Asian Games gold medals in kabaddi since the sport's inclusion on the continental stage. The men's triumph represents their ninth title in ten editions since 1990, while the women's victory marked their second consecutive gold and fourth overall. With these two additional podium finishes, kabaddi remains India's third most successful discipline in Asian Games history behind athletics and shooting.
