The BCCI has adopted new playing conditions that impose severe penalties on bowlers who deliberately overstep the front foot or deliver non-landing balls during cricket matches. These rules mandate an entire match suspension for the offending bowler, aiming to uphold the sport's fairness and integrity.

The decision follows the Marylebone Cricket Club's updated guidelines, which have been circulated among all Indian state cricket associations for seamless implementation across domestic competitions.
