In Brief:
- BSE Sensex jumped 566 points to 76,608.66 in early trading.
- NSE Nifty surged 153.60 points, reaching 23,923.30.
- Stock market rebound followed a sharp decline in crude oil prices.
- Falling oil prices improved market sentiment and investor confidence
V.K. Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Investment Limited, confirms that the sharp fall in Brent Crude Oil prices from $102 four days ago to around $93 on Monday morning (27, July 2026) is a positive sign for the stock market. Additionally, if tensions in West Asia continue to ease and oil prices fall further, the market could sustain a modest rally.
Though the early trade gains come amid ongoing global economic uncertainties, the fall in crude oil rates has provided some relief to Indian markets for now. Among the major gainers across the market were InterGlobe Aviation, Infosys, Eternal, Asian Paints, and Bajaj Finance, while Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank were among the stocks that declined.
