The Delhi High Court ruled in favour of Bharatiya Janata Party MP and actor Ravi Kishan (Ravindra Shukla), protecting his personality rights and restricting the unauthorised use of his name, image, and likeness.

The ruling follows a legal suit filed by Kishan alleging the misuse of his identity through AI-generated content across various social platforms and websites.

This decision highlights the judiciary's effort to safeguard individuals from the unauthorized commercial and reputational exploitation enabled by advancing artificial intelligence technologies.

The court directed those responsible to remove the infringing web links within 3 days. Failing compliance, platforms such as  Meta, Google, and X (formerly Twitter) have been directed to block access to the links within 72 hours of being notified.
