Aug 4: A massive fire broke out at an electronic chip manufacturing unit in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, leading to a tragic incident where two firefighters lost their lives and three others were injured. The incident occurred as the firefighting team was working to extinguish the blaze.
According to officials, a wall and an iron beam inside the factory suddenly collapsed while the firefighters were dousing the flames. This collapse resulted in injuries to five firefighters, two of whom later succumbed to their injuries despite rescue efforts.
The spokesperson confirmed the casualties and injuries, emphasizing the dangerous conditions faced during the operation. The fire department and local authorities are currently investigating the cause of both the fire and the structural failure within the unit.
