The National Security Guard (NSG) has inaugurated its first-ever all-women commando course—the Mahila Commando Conversion Course—at its training academy in Manesar, Haryana.
The 12-week intensive programme is designed to prepare selected women personnel from Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and State Police Forces to become physically indomitable, technically astute, and operationally sharp commandos. The curriculum focuses on physical conditioning, advanced marksmanship, tactical intervention, and hostage rescue skills necessary for high-risk counter-terrorism missions.
This milestone underscores the NSG’s commitment to enhancing gender diversity in elite security roles and expanding operational effectiveness across India's security forces.
