Four men—identified as Niloy Pal, Debashish Pal, Nandan Pal, and Sampu Pal—tragically died while cleaning a water tank at a newly constructed house in Assam's Cachar district.

The tragedy occurred when one worker entered the tank and lost consciousness, leading three others to enter one after another in a rescue attempt, all subsequently passing out inside.

Four other individuals were also affected and are undergoing treatment in critical condition at Silchar Medical College and Hospital, while officials from the Cachar Police, SDRF, and NDRF arrived at the scene to manage the situation, according to NDTV.
