The Central Government is set to start the Parliamentary Monsoon Session on Monday, July 20, 2026, by introducing the Prevention of Insults to National Honour (Amendment) Bill, 2026, which aims to accord statutory protection to the National Song, Vande Mataram.

Alongside this, five Bills have been officially listed to be discussed during the session. However, notably absent from the agenda is any legislation related to delimitation, which had been a topic of speculation.

The move to protect the national song through legal means underscores the government's intent to safeguard national symbols.
