The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) organized a 1.5-kilometer protest march on July 20, 2026, from Jantar Mantar to the new Parliament building in Delhi via Patel Chowk roundabout.

The demonstration focused on highlighting issues in the education sector. Participant Sonam Wangchuk stated that the fasting by protesters will end once the government acknowledges and takes responsibility for these educational failures.

Meanwhile, as both houses of Parliament convene for the Monsoon Session on Monday, July 20, 2026, tensions are rising over the CJP's unauthorized march. With riot-control personnel heavily deployed across Delhi and the CJP urging more supporters to gather, a standoff between demonstrators and security forces appears imminent.
