A woman was injured after a retaining wall collapsed in Dehradun, while five people escaped with minor injuries after their vehicle plunged into a ravine in Uttarkashi.
Additionally, in Jammu and Kashmir, flash floods disrupted normal life, while Himachal Pradesh experienced thunderstorms, lightning, and strong gusty winds. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported continued rainfall across Uttarakhand, with Mussoorie recording the highest rainfall in the past 24 hours. Authorities remain on alert as forecasts indicate more rain, raising concerns over further landslides, flooding, and infrastructure damage.
