The National Statistical Office (NSO) released Q1 FY27 GDP (Gross Domestic Product) estimates on August 31, 2026, reporting a 7.8% expansion in real GDP to ₹81.36 lakh crore compared to ₹75.46 lakh crore in Q1 FY26. Real Gross Value Added (GVA) grew 8.2%, supported by a 9.2% expansion in manufacturing and a 10% rise in the overall services sector. Gross fixed capital formation (GFCF) surged by 11.9%, alongside a 12% rise in real exports and a 7.1% increase in private consumption expenditure. Nominal GDP reached ₹88.27 lakh crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth rate of 10.3%.
