Earlier, the Indian women’s team defeated Iran 37-34 to retain their Asian Games title. India controlled much of the first half, leading 22-16 at halftime. Iran, the 2018 champion, mounted a strong comeback after the break. India responded with crucial raids and defense, with Pooja and Sanju Devi playing key roles in preserving the lead.
Despite Iran narrowing the gap, India held firm in the closing stages to claim gold.
