The Karnataka government has introduced guidelines to establish 10,000 Bharat Jodo Yuva Sanghas in gram panchayats and urban wards, aiming to strengthen youth engagement at the grassroots level.To set up a sangha, it must be registered under the Karnataka Societies Act, have at least 100 members aged 16 to 35, and meet the specific population criteria set for local bodies.
These youth clubs are designed to encourage participation in sports and cultural programs, fostering community spirit and youth development.The Sanghas will organise sports competitions, cultural programmes, environmental campaigns, leadership training, and community service activities.Operating under the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, the initiative seeks to promote social harmony, civic responsibility, youth leadership, and overall community development across the state.
