Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed a desire to become the Prime Minister of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to directly supervise development in the region.
Speaking at an election rally in Muzaffarabad, the PML-N (Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz) chief highlighted his ancestral roots, describing PoK as his "second home" and asserting its equal importance to his home province of Punjab.
Sharif stated that if his party wins the upcoming elections, he will ask his younger brother, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to facilitate his appointment to lead the region's governance and infrastructure efforts personally.
