In a heartfelt tribute to Assam's cultural icon Zubeen Garg, a dedicated memorial space named 'Zubeen Khetra' was officially opened to the public at Rajgarh in Guwahati on September 1, 2026. Inaugurated by Garima Saikia Garg, the space was established by journalist and cultural activist Hemanta Sarma to preserve the singer-composer’s legacy at a site where he spent nearly 15 years creating some of his most celebrated musical works. Situated beneath the old Abhinaya building opposite Rajgarh No. 2 Bylane, the open memorial hosted prayers from representatives of diverse religious faiths during its opening to embody Garg’s inclusive, multi-community philosophy.
