The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday, 20 July, has officially dismissed accusations from five NEET-UG candidates claiming irregularities in their OMR answer sheets. The NTA verified that the official OMR records matched the data on its servers and confirmed the accuracy of the declared scores for all five candidates. The agency noted that genuine exam documents include barcodes, QR codes, and other security features, which cannot be altered through image editing.
Stressing the examination's integrity, the NTA affirmed the authenticity of the OMR sheets used to assess candidates and assured that all awarded scores are correct. The agency also pointed to new regulations enforcing strict penalties for submitting fraudulent records. Candidates were advised to follow the official process for legitimate concerns.
