The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) held a protest march to Parliament on Monday, 20 July, during which they allege that Delhi Police used excessive force. The group reports that a truck carrying public figures, actors Prakash Raj and Shabana Azmi, along with Sonam Wangchuk's wife Gitanjali and CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, was "brutally attacked" by the police.
Protesters say some activists, were physically assaulted, with incidents such as hair pulling. One volunteer reportedly suffered serious injuries, including shattered ribs. The party has called for the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan and demands discussions with the government to address these concerns.
