Odisha's final electoral roll now comprises 3.16 crore registered voters, following updates made after a detailed review process. The draft roll initially contained 3,13,87,034 names.
After disposal of claims, objections, and verification of eligible applications, 2,90,497 new names were added, and 44,777 were deleted, resulting in a net increase of 2,45,720 voters to the list.
In contrast, a total of 17.66 lakh names were struck off the rolls during this process to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the voter list. This comprehensive revision aims to maintain updated and reliable electoral data ahead of forthcoming elections.
The final roll reflects the commission's efforts to incorporate valid entries and remove those ineligible or no longer applicable, strengthening the integrity of Odisha’s electoral system.
