In the flood-affected Polavaram region of Andhra Pradesh, around 32,000 residents remain in relief camps as the Godavari and Sabari rivers begin to recede. The most affected areas are the V.R. Puram and Kunavaram mandals, located near the confluence of the two rivers.
Although floodwaters have started to withdraw—easing immediate threats to homes and farmlands—authorities remain on high alert and are actively pursuing relief efforts for displaced residents.
