Sonam Wangchuk, the engineer and activist known for his work in education reform, is currently engaged in a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, Delhi. He has lost more than 9 kilograms since the protest began, alarming doctors who report his body is now likely consuming muscle tissue and warn that his organs could soon be affected.
Despite these health concerns, Wangchuk has declared he will remain on hunger strike until July 20 at any cost.
Mr. Wangchuk is currently on a hunger strike, calling for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan due to ongoing issues within the nation's education system.
