The mystery surrounding the sudden disappearance of a 20-year-old college student from Guwahati has ended in tragedy. Himashri Boro, a resident of Bonda in Guwahati and a student at B. Borooah College, who went missing during a train journey, has been found dead near a railway track in Andhra Pradesh.

Disappearance During Train Journey

Himashri was traveling aboard the 22503 Kanyakumari–Dibrugarh Vivek Express. According to reports, she was making her way back to Assam from Visakhapatnam.

When the train reached its destination at the Guwahati Railway Station, Himashri was nowhere to be found in her assigned S2 coach. However, her personal luggage and bag were recovered unattended inside the compartment, immediately raising alarms among family members and local authorities.

Body Recovered Along Railway Track

Following her family's report of her disappearance, search efforts were launched along the train’s route. Hours later, news emerged that her body had been located along a railway track in Andhra Pradesh.

Ongoing Investigation

Railway Protection Force (RPF) and local police authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause and circumstances surrounding her death. Officials are reviewing route data, passenger details, and track-side reports to determine whether foul play was involved.

The news has sparked widespread grief across Guwahati and student communities in Assam, with many taking to social media to call for a thorough and speedy investigation.
