Indian Paddler Ankur Indian table tennis star Ankur Bhattacharjee delivered a standout performance at the WTT Feeder Olomouc tournament in Czechia, capturing both his first-ever WTT men's singles title and taking home the men's doubles gold alongside teammate Akash Pal.

Breakthrough Singles Victory

Ranked World No. 78, Ankur bounced back from an initial setback against third-seeded Slovenian Deni Kozul in the singles final. After dropping the opening game 9–11, the Indian paddler adjusted his rally control and placement to dominate the next three games:

This breakthrough title comes after a strong 2026 season where Ankur reached two quarterfinals and two semifinals on the WTT Feeder Series circuit.

Men's Doubles Triumph

Earlier in the competition, Ankur paired up with Akash Pal to battle through a tight men's doubles final against Hungary's Csaba Andras Szantosi and Poland's Alan Kulczycki Zalewski.

The Indian duo claimed the opening set 11–8 before dropping the second 4–11. They regained momentum in a high-stakes third set (13–11) and held their composure to close out the match:

The dual victory marks a major career milestone for Ankur, who previously reached the finals of the 2025 Europe Youth Smash in Sweden.
