Google and the Retailers Association of India (RAI) have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate digital adoption across 600,000 retail storefronts in India, with a focus on small and medium-sized businesses.

The collaboration aims to enhance online discoverability and strengthen local customer reach by leveraging Google’s product ecosystem, including Google Business Profile, Google Ads, Google Shopping, Google Cloud, Google Pay, and Google Maps.

Key initiatives under this agreement include helping merchants showcase in-store inventory online, providing industry insights and digital readiness frameworks, and hosting industry summits and executive workshops to prepare retailers for modern commerce.

To ensure smooth execution and monitor progress, both organizations are establishing a Joint Working Group to share learnings and best practices across the Indian retail sector.
