New Delhi July 20: Amid the ongoing Chalo Sansad protest, the Centre has initiated talks with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) as demonstrations continue in the national capital. On Monday, a CJP delegation met Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda and submitted a memorandum outlining its key demands.
According to CJP spokesperson Saurav Das, the delegation sought the immediate release of activist Sonam Wangchuk, the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and ₹1 crore compensation for the families of NEET-UG aspirants who allegedly died in connection with the examination paper leak controversy.
Das said that J.P. Nadda assured the delegation that the demands would be discussed at the "appropriate level." However, he clarified that no commitments have been made so far. The organisation also stated that its peaceful protest would continue until its demands are addressed.
