Sia’s family has spoken out after an alleged hit-and-run on Gurugram’s Golf Course Road, revealing the emotional trauma she is facing. Her brother told ANI that four intoxicated individuals in a car reportedly followed and struck her motorcycle. Despite Sia signaling them to maintain distance, the occupants allegedly made offensive gestures. The incident occurred between 7:30 and 8:00 am. Sia’s brother suggested the men had been drinking since the previous night and said the family plans to pursue legal action. Sia’s lawyer has already contacted the station house officer, and the family intends to file an FIR.
Sia’s father expressed concern that he only learned about the incident later, saying he would have gone to the police station immediately if informed. He noted the incident happened in daylight and felt fortunate that Sia was not physically injured. He also questioned why she did not inform the family upon returning home. In a video that gained public attention, Sia described riding her Aprilia RS 457 with a group when a car began following them. She said the car’s occupants misbehaved and continued making hand gestures after she asked them to keep distance. The vehicle then allegedly swerved and hit her motorcycle, causing her to fall.
The accused driver offered a different version, claiming he lost control near a U-turn and did not intentionally hit Sia. He stated he asked Sia and a male companion to slow down but denied making gestures. He admitted to the collision but said he did not stop immediately out of fear of attacks from the group of bikers. Gurugram police took suo motu cognisance after Sia’s video circulated widely, registering an FIR. The case highlights both the alleged collision and the conduct of the car’s occupants before the crash, contrasting the accounts given by Sia and the accused.
