Water accumulation beneath the Jorabat flyover on National Highway-27 forced drivers to avoid the flooded service road, leading to traffic congestion across the city.
This flooding incident follows a recent episode of waterlogging, highlighting Guwahati's ongoing drainage challenges. The India Meteorological Department predicts additional rain and thunderstorms in the coming days, raising concerns about worsening waterlogging in vulnerable areas.
