The Indian sub-junior boys' team extended its winning streak at the FIH Youth Hockey5s Asian Championship with emphatic victories over Oman (14-0) and Pakistan (7-4) in the Elite Pool.
Captain Ketan Kushwaha starred with four goals against Oman, while Karan Gautam scored a hat-trick in India's win over Pakistan.
In the girls' competition, India came from behind to hold China to a 2-2 draw, courtesy of a brace from Nousheen Naz. The team then thrashed Uzbekistan, with Nousheen scoring four goals and Sandeepa Kumari and captain Sweety Kujur registering hat-tricks.
The tournament serves as a qualifier for the inaugural FIH Youth Hockey5s World Cup.
