Official sources said an operation was launched around 3 a.m. after multiple security teams reached Guri village and Hassanpora Tawella in Anantnag, a day after a policeman was shot dead in a terror attack in J&K. Locals alleged that explosives were used to demolish the houses of two active Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists after residents were asked to evacuate. A mosque and a vehicle were damaged in the blasts, which reportedly triggered loud explosions across the localities.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir's Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that simply conducting mass arrests is insufficient to ensure lasting peace, urging a more comprehensive approach to resolve conflict in the region.
