Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated foundational works worth ₹11,359 crore aimed at improving infrastructure across 123 urban local bodies. These projects will benefit 26 districts and include the construction and upgrading of 2,165 km of roads, development of 502 parks, and laying 300 km of sewerage lines.

Significantly, these initiatives will be executed under the hybrid annuity model for the first time in the state, which combines government and private investment aimed at better project implementation and maintenance.

In addition to the urban development works, transport connectivity was enhanced with two more trains halting at Kuppam, facilitating better transit for residents and supporting regional growth.

Authorities highlighted the projects’ potential to improve urban living standards and infrastructure quality, which aligns with the state’s broader goals of sustainable urbanisation and economic development.
