The National Board of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS) on Thursday, 24 September has declared the NEET-PG 2026 result. A total of 2.65 lakh candidates appeared for the exam this year to secure admission in postgraduate medical courses.
The cut-off score for the General category and EWS has been set at 262 marks out of 720. For general PwBD candidates the cut-off is 244 marks (45th percentile), while SC, ST and OBC candidates, including PwBD candidates from these categories, the cut-off is 226 marks (40th percentile). This benchmark will determine eligibility for admission to various medical colleges across India. The NEET-PG exam plays a crucial role in the selection process for postgraduate medical education, affecting thousands of aspirants nationwide.
Candidates meeting the cut-off are now eligible for further rounds of counselling and seat allocation processes conducted by the authorities. The declaration of results marks the next phase in the medical postgraduate admission cycle for 2026.
NOTE: Scorecards can be downloaded from NBEMS website on or after October 1 along with the answer key which will also be published on or after October 1.. They will remain available for six months from the date of issue, NBEMS asserted.
