Pakistan has indicated it will invite India to the 2027 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, citing its obligation as the host country to extend invitations to all member states. Speaking at a weekly briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi stated that invitations for the summit will be sent to all Heads of State or Government according to standard SCO procedures.

The 10-member SCO bloc, which includes nations such as India, China, Russia, and Pakistan, spans nearly 36 million square kilometres, represents over 3.4 billion people, and accounts for approximately 25% of the global GDP.
