Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a two-day Chintan Shivir with Union ministers, urged them to ensure government schemes and programmes benefit every eligible citizen. He emphasized sincere efforts for the overall welfare and development of society.
The discussions focused on enhancing self-efficiency, scheme delivery, effective communication, and trust-based governance, with special attention on women and youth. Modi met separately with eight groups of eight ministers each, participating in discussions and offering suggestions during the nearly five-hour brainstorming session at Seva Teerth.
This initiative aims to review ongoing work, strengthen coordination, improve awareness and accessibility of welfare programmes, address implementation challenges, plan future priorities, and increase government delivery effectiveness. The sessions will continue Thursday, with another planned next week.
The exercise follows a similar brainstorming session held on October 21, 2021, focused on governance and policymaking. It is designed to help ministers better understand challenges and more effectively translate government policies and welfare programmes into benefits for citizens.
