The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has approved the development of approximately 1,800 km of LPG pipeline infrastructure across Telangana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, and Goa, with an estimated capital investment of ₹7,000 crore. Officials say these projects will expand India’s LPG pipeline network by nearly 24%, significantly strengthening the country’s energy distribution system. The expanded network will enable more efficient transportation and distribution of LPG across the targeted regions.
This approval marks a key step in expanding dedicated LPG transportation infrastructure and improving energy supply reliability. The new pipelines will meet growing demand from residential and commercial LPG consumers and enhance connectivity between major supply and consumption centers. The development will also contribute to a more extensive and integrated LPG pipeline network nationwide, complementing existing infrastructure and enabling more efficient LPG movement.
