Returning to the very ground where he headlined India’s U-19 World Cup triumph earlier this year, the young left-hander decimated the Zimbabwean attack during the first T20I of the three-match series, striking four boundaries and four massive sixes at a staggering strike rate of 263.16.
Opening the chase of 126 alongside Abishek Sharma, Sooryavanshi’s record-breaking blitz set up an effortless platform, putting the Men in Blue firmly on track for a dominant 7-wicket victory.
