In a pre-dawn burglary, thieves broke into the Lalique museum located in Wingen-sur-Moder, France, targeting the jewellery room.They successfully stole about twenty pieces of jewellery, collectively estimated to be worth up to four million euros.
French authorities have launched a large-scale investigation, reviewing surveillance footage and collecting forensic evidence to track down the suspects. The museum, which showcases the works of renowned French glassmaker and jeweller René Lalique, has been temporarily closed while the investigation continues and security measures are reinforced.
