The Indian rupee fell 10 paise to 95.28 against the US dollar in early trade on Monday, July 6, as the US dollar remained strong in global markets.

Traders said the stronger dollar put pressure on the rupee and expected the Reserve Bank of India to use fresh foreign inflows to build foreign exchange reserves instead of allowing the rupee to appreciate.

Uncertainty surrounding the ongoing US-Iran peace talks kept investors cautious, adding pressure on the rupee.
