In Maliyabad, Karnataka, a four-year-old boy named Gopal was left in critical condition after being attacked by a stray dog while playing near his home.
The dog reportedly pounced on the child, dragged him, and inflicted severe head injuries, tearing off a large portion of his scalp before he managed to break free and run to safety. He was rushed to a private hospital in Raichur, where he remains in critical condition.
This incident comes just days after another fatal stray dog attack in the same district, in which a 1.5-year-old girl named Anam was mauled to death in Hanchinal Camp, prompting an ongoing police investigation.
