The Delhi government has announced a series of measures to combat the rising pollution levels during the winter months. Starting from November 1, 2026, and continuing until January 31, 2027, vehicle restrictions will be implemented across the city. These include limitations on certain vehicles to reduce emissions during peak pollution periods.
In addition, the government has mandated work-from-home policies for certain sectors to decrease commuter traffic. Offices will adopt staggered timings to manage crowding, and parking charges will be doubled to discourage private vehicle use.
Construction activities will be suspended throughout this period to prevent dust pollution. Authorities will also conduct weekly inspections in identified pollution hotspots to monitor compliance with these regulations.
